We know it can be disappointing when a scholarship application isn’t approved. Here are some common reasons why this might happen:
Funding limits
- The provider’s monthly cap has been reached: Each organization offering activities through Guildara has a monthly limit on how much scholarship funding they can provide.
- Your family has reached its monthly limit: To support as many families as possible, there’s also a cap on the total amount each family can receive per month.
- Funds were fully allocated when you applied: Thanks to ongoing support, The Village Project scholarship fund is regularly replenished and carefully managed. Still, to ensure fairness and sustainability, funds can occasionally reach a temporary limit—especially during periods of high demand.
Eligibility
Scholarship decisions are based on the details you provide in your household statement, which expires every three months. If your situation has changed, you can update your statement and apply again. Need help? Contact us, and we can help reset it sooner!
We know the system isn’t perfect and may occasionally miss someone who truly needs support. Our team continually reviews and improves the process to make sure resources are shared fairly and transparently.
