Through Guildara’s collaboration with The Village Project, your community can make monthly donations to a fund dedicated to scholarships for your programs. Think of it as having your own scholarship fund, without the work of setting up a nonprofit.

These donations create another source of support for eligible families among your community joining your approved activities. The more your community contributes, the more funding may be available to help families participate.

‍

Make your donation link easy to find

‍

Someone may be ready to give while visiting your website, picking up their child, or reading your newsletter. Make sure they can find your donation page whenever that moment comes:

  • 🖨️ At your front desk: Create a QR code for your donation page and place it where families check in or wait. You can make one with QRCode Monkey or Canva.
  • 🌐 On your website: Add the link to your homepage or the page where you share your mission.
  • 📱 On social media: Include the link in your profile and share it when you post about scholarships.
  • 📧 In your emails: Add the link to newsletters and seasonal announcements.

‍

Invite people who already know you

Keeping your link visible makes it easy to give. A direct invitation helps people understand why they might want to give monthly. Consider a campaign around a moment that matters to your community, such as the start of a new school year or registration for summer programs. Start with people who already know and trust your organization:

  • Email your customers. They’ve seen the value of your programs firsthand. Tell them that monthly donations can help eligible families participate, and include a direct link to your donation page.
  • Reach out to one-time donors. Thank them for their past support and let them know they can now give monthly. Invite them to make an ongoing contribution if they’d like to.

‍

Show the impact and say thank you

The reason someone gives is often simple: they believe their contribution can make a difference. Help donors see the impact their contribution can have: Share photos, stories, and reviews that show the value of your programs.

Your scholarship report can help you add data on the impact scholarships are having in your community.

Thank your donors, too. A personal note lets them know their support matters. Keep in touch with occasional updates so they feel connected to the community they’re helping build.

Subject: Help more families experience [Organization Name]

Hi [First Name],

Last [season/year], scholarships helped [number] children join our [classes/camps/programs]. For families, that means more than a spot in an activity. It means [a specific benefit or experience your program offers].

Here’s how one family described their experience with us:

“[customer public review about the program]”

We’d love to make experiences like this possible for more families. Through our collaboration with The Village Project, monthly donations to our dedicated scholarship fund can help eligible families participate in our programs.

If you’d like to be part of that, you can set up a monthly gift here:
